Job description

Overview

The Banquet Bartender prepares and serves drinks according to production requirements and standard recipes. Typically assigned to work a single bar during banquet events, the Banquet Bartender maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe station at all times to ensure the safe service of alcoholic beverages and quality products delivered to guests. The successful Banquet Bartender will effectively set up the assigned station, produce products consistent with quality standards and recipes, and demonstrate exemplary attendance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities of Gold Key|PHR hourly Associates:

  1. Know your job. Complete job skills training, possess a clear understanding of property standards, listen attentively during pre-shift briefings, and seek clarification of assignments and expectations. Apply experience and training to accomplish tasks effectively.
  2. Be on time. Follow attendance guidelines, report to work punctually, in uniform, and adhere to clock-in and clock-out procedures.
  3. Be on stage. Be friendly, approachable, and willing to assist guests and colleagues. Follow personal appearance standards, maintain good grooming, wear the uniform, and practice good personal hygiene.
  4. Serve. Conduct yourself professionally and collaboratively with guests and fellow associates, aligning with the company’s service culture, “The Keys to Making it Right.”
  5. Work smart. Understand shift needs, utilize resources properly, complete assignments methodically and promptly, and pay attention to details.
  6. Use your tools. Use approved tools and checklists to complete assigned tasks.
  7. Measure Up. Produce work that meets departmental standards in volume and quality. Meet goals and measures set by department leadership.
  8. Respect the space. Keep your work area clean and organized. Report deficiencies promptly to your supervisor.
  9. Be safe. Report unsafe conditions, practices, or violations in accordance with company policy.
  10. Support the Team: Cooperate with colleagues and supervisors to foster a positive work environment. Support team efforts responsibly and professionally.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

Associate Responsibilities specific to this role and Department:

  1. Set up the assigned station per BEO requirements and standards.
  2. Complete daily duties in designated banquet areas to meet quality standards.
  3. Assist banquet setup teams as needed, including setting tables, rolling silverware, and arranging furniture.
  4. Support other bartenders and servers to ensure smooth teamwork during banquets.
  5. Maintain cleanliness of the function room and station according to policies and procedures.
  6. Ensure front and back of house cleanliness to deliver high-quality products to guests consistently.
  7. Greet, interact, and engage with guests professionally, exceeding expectations.
  8. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of all equipment, including fixtures, following SOPs and work practices.
  9. Manage time and productivity based on business volume.
  10. Make and serve drinks following established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
  11. Handle cash and process credit card transactions accurately per company policies.
  12. Ensure deliveries match liquor requisitions and monitor supply levels.
  13. Know and comply with state liquor laws.
