Job summary

Blinn College District is seeking a Full Time - Banner System Administrator at the Brenham Campus to maintain administrative software systems, databases, and servers.

The role requires an Associate's Degree and experience with Ellucian Banner, Windows servers, Oracle, and Linux. It involves updating software, managing server support, and maintaining integrations, with 40 hours per week on-site and a 12-month, benefits-eligible appointment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; two years in higher education technical support of Ellucian Banner software.
• Experience with Windows servers, Apache Tomcat, Java, security certificates, and Jenkins Agents.
• Experience with Oracle databases and Linux environments.
• Proficiency in SQL queries and shell scripting.
• Ability to work in a team and troubleshoot; prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain administrative software systems, databases, and servers.
• Keep software updated when vendor releases occur.
• Support servers hosting administrative software.
• Maintain integrations to the administrative software.
• Assist in database administration and Linux system upgrades.
