Job summary

Orion Placement represents a respected New Jersey law firm with a sophisticated bankruptcy, restructuring, and litigation practice in Roseland. The attorney will work closely with seasoned attorneys on Chapter 7, Chapter 11, creditors’ rights, fiduciary, and commercial litigation matters.

Qualifications

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar required.
• 2+ years of bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors’ rights or insolvency experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and drafting skills.
• Experience with court appearances or contested matters preferred.
• New York Bar admission is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent debtors, creditors, trustees, receivers, and assignees in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters
• Support state insolvency actions, assignments for the benefit of creditors, receiverships, and fiduciary matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents
• Assist with contested bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters in federal and state courts
• Participate in court hearings, mediations, negotiations, and case strategy discussions
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and internal team members
• Manage deadlines, competing priorities, and multiple active matters in a sophisticated legal practice
