Qualifications

• Experience with legal document preparation and court filing procedures.
• Knowledge of bankruptcy law, including Chapter 7 requirements.
• Familiarity with Best Case or similar bankruptcy case management software.
• Experience interacting with courts, trustees, and related entities.
• Prior bankruptcy paralegal or legal assistant experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, detail orientation and organization.

Responsibilities

• Gather and organize client financial information and documents.
• Maintain and organize case files with deadlines and status notes.
• Communicate with clients, courts, and trustees to track filings.
• Assist with electronic filing of petitions, schedules and related documents.
• Update and manage case management systems to reflect case progress.
• Provide administrative support to attorneys and consultants for efficient case handling.
