Job summary

Hunter Recruiting is seeking a Paralegal to support attorneys in bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors' rights, commercial litigation, and related transactional matters. The role emphasizes precise document preparation and filing through ECF.

Responsibilities include preparing and filing bankruptcy documents, supporting Chapter 11 matters, handling discovery, and coordinating with clients, courts, and opposing counsel. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required with higher education in Paralegal or Legal Studies preferred.
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience supporting Chapter 11 business bankruptcies preferred.
• Experience preparing and filing bankruptcy documents through ECF, including proofs of claim, notices of appearance, and schedules of assets and liabilities.
• Creditors' rights experience, including judgment enforcement and collection proceedings.
• Traditional litigation paralegal experience, including discovery and trial support.
• Familiarity with UCC-1 Financing Statements and lien searches is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and electronically file bankruptcy and litigation documents through ECF, including proofs of claim, notices of appearance, schedules of assets and liabilities, motions, and pleadings.
• Support Chapter 11 bankruptcies, restructurings, asset sales, and debtor reorganizations.
• Assist with creditors' rights matters, including foreclosures, receiverships, collections, garnishments, judgment liens, bank attachments, and other judgment enforcement proceedings.
• Manage discovery, document production, e-discovery, and trial preparation.
• Conduct lien searches, review UCC filings, and assist with transactional due diligence.
• Coordinate with clients, courts, financial advisors, and opposing counsel.
