Advocates Legal Recruiting is representing a leading AmLaw 100 firm in its search for a Bankruptcy Litigation Associate (3+ years). The role sits in a premier Complex Commercial Litigation group with a platform that emphasizes trial readiness and a record of distressed deal disputes.

The candidate will litigate across the lifecycle of Chapter 11 matters and related disputes, from motion practice through evidentiary hearings and trial when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of bankruptcy litigation experience (firm training preferred).
• Meaningful writing experience: motions, briefs, and court-facing work product you would want a partner to sign.

Responsibilities

• Run core bankruptcy litigation work streams including research, writing, strategy, discovery, and hearings.
• Handle contested matters and adversary proceedings (fraudulent transfer, preference, fiduciary duty, contract-based disputes).
• Collaborate with restructuring lawyers on multi-party, high-exposure matters involving debtors, creditors, sponsors, bidders, and committees.
• Build an early record with a litigation approach that anticipates trial.
