Overview

• The firm's national Bankruptcy, Creditors’ Rights & Restructuring practice focuses on corporate restructurings, including debtor and creditor representations in Chapter 11 cases and Chapter 9 municipal insolvencies, as well as distressed asset acquisitions and restructurings both in and out-of-court.
• Candidates must have experience representing parties in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and/or creditors’ rights litigation.

Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a highly qualified attorney to join its sophisticated national Bankruptcy, Creditors’ Rights & Restructuring practice in Wilmington, DE. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 6 years of experience representing parties in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and/or creditors’ rights litigation. Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and strong academic credentials are required. The firm’s group focuses on corporate restructurings, including debtor and creditor representations in Chapter 11 cases and Chapter 9 municipal insolvencies, as well as distressed asset acquisitions and restructurings both in and out-of-court. This is an excellent opportunity for professional growth in a collegial environment of a national law firm. Active bar license in Delaware is required.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is from $230,000 to $305,000, which reflects the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Effective January 1, 2027, the annual salary range for this position will be $240,000 to $330,000

In addition to the salary for this position, lawyers may be eligible for an incentive bonus program and/or a profit-sharing bonus program.
