Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA

Job Type: Direct Hire, Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote), Full-Time

LHH is working with a well-established and reputable bankruptcy law firm seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Legal Assistant to join their team in Downtown Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have specific experience in bankruptcy litigation, primarily Chapter 7 & 11 cases.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in preparing and filing federal and appellate court documents
• Handle all aspects of creditor side bankruptcy litigation, with a focus on Chapter 7 & 11 cases
• Draft and serve discovery documents
• Assist with trial preparation and trial support
• E-filing in state and federal court
• Organize and manage high-volume cases in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• 5+ years of litigation experience, including federal and appellate filings
• 3+ years of bankruptcy experience, predominantly handling Chapter 7 & 11 cases
• Strong tech-savviness and proficiency with various legal software
• Ability to work independently and handle a high workload
• Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
