Carrington Mortgage Services seeks a detail-focused Bankruptcy Ledger Specialist to complete and monitor ledgers through the bankruptcy process for residential mortgage loans. The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to timelines, and collaboration with attorneys and internal teams.

You will handle research, document management, and complex calculations, contributing to loss mitigation and lien preservation.

Qualifications

• Strong math skills for manual calculations in bankruptcy cases.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Experience balancing ledgers or in accounting is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organization.
• Understanding of bankruptcy processes and related timelines.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision and research capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor ledgers for bankruptcy processes with high accuracy.
• Verify borrower payment history and resolve posting discrepancies.
• Respond to inquiries from bankruptcy attorneys and stakeholders.
• Remediate files by researching Fiserv/Sagent data and servicer images.
• Prepare and file required bankruptcy documents and notices.
• Audit and set up filings, motions, claims, and closings for accuracy.
• Provide root-cause analysis and propose process improvements.
• Collaborate with various departments and IT on BK processes.
• May have signing authority for bankruptcy documents.
