Job summary

Harris & Harris Ltd in Chicago, IL seeks a Bankruptcy Administrator to sort bankruptcies, prepare packets, file claims, and communicate with debtors and attorneys with the highest level of service.

Schedule is 8:00am–5:00pm CST, Monday through Friday; local reporting to our Downtown Chicago office about once per week, with work-from-home options otherwise. We offer medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with matching, life and disability coverage, tuition reimbursement and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to type quickly (40 wpm) and accurately, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Demonstrated history of effective time management and ability to prioritize projects with changing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Correctly sort bankruptcies and create work packets
• Effectively handle phone calls from debtors and attorneys regarding bankruptcies with the highest level of customer service
• Accurately process bankruptcies and file proof of claims in a timely manner
• Prepare and fax letters and other documents to all interested parties
• Accurately notate accounts when working in various client systems
