Job summary

State of Illinois, Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Division of Banking, is seeking an Examiner Trainee to perform on-site examinations of state banks, fiduciary data processors and service providers under supervision for up to twelve months. Training includes classroom and on-the-job experience.

Qualified applicants hold a bachelor’s degree with the specified coursework, and must learn statutes, prepare written reports, and use Word, Excel and GroupWise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 semester hours in business coursework
• At least 6 hours accounting and 6 hours computer science
• Ability to learn statutes and regulations governing banking

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site examinations of state banks, corporate fiduciary data processing centers and service providers
• Maintain written reports in a logical and concise manner
• Communicate effectively with industry officials and public relations objectives
