Impetus is seeking an experienced Banking Domain Specialist to lead client engagements across retail, commercial, corporate, and digital banking. You will drive transformation initiatives, advise CXOs, and support growth with deep industry knowledge and strong leadership.

You will collaborate with executives to identify opportunities, design solutions aligned with goals, and help banks improve efficiency, compliance, and customer experience through modernization programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, Technology, or related field.
10+ years of experience in banking, consulting, or financial services.
Strong understanding of banking products, operations, and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Act as the banking subject matter expert for client engagements and strategic initiatives.
Advise stakeholders on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
Support business transformation and modernization programs across banking functions.
Conduct business process assessments and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with senior banking executives to understand business objectives and challenges.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Facilitate workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and solution discussions.

We are seeking an experienced Banking Domain Specialist with deep expertise across retail, commercial, corporate, and digital banking. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders, providing domain leadership, driving transformation initiatives, and supporting business growth across the banking sector.

The role will have deep banking expertise with strong consulting and business leadership capabilities. They are able to engage with CXOs, identify transformation opportunities, drive strategic initiatives, and help banking organizations improve efficiency, customer experience, compliance, and growth.

Domain Expertise

Key Responsibilities

Act as the banking subject matter expert for client engagements and strategic initiatives.

Regulatory & Risk Management

Provide guidance on banking regulations, compliance frameworks, and risk management practices.
Support initiatives related to AML, KYC, sanctions screening, and fraud prevention.
Ensure alignment with regulatory and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, Technology, or related field.
10+ years of experience in banking, consulting, or financial services.
Strong understanding of banking products, operations, and regulatory frameworks.
Experience working with leading banks and financial institutions.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA or relevant banking certifications.
Exposure to digital transformation, cloud, AI, data analytics, and banking solutions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of Capital Markets industry experience.
Strong understanding of front, middle, and back-office functions.
Experience working with global financial institutions, investment banks, asset managers,
Proven ability to lead client discussions at the executive level.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA, CFA, CAIA, FRM, or equivalent certifications.
Knowledge of cloud, data, AI, and digital transformation initiatives within banking industry is good to have.

Pay Range:

This offers a very competitive base salary and in addition, we offer a bonus which is dependent on achievement of targets by the role-holder as well as the organization.

The range on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum salary target for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and job level and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
