Qualifications

• Law Degree required and practicing license in good standing.
• The candidate has at least six years of legal experience in banking regulations or financial services.
• Experience at a regulatory agency or law firm with strong knowledge of bank regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal advice on complex banking matters to business units.
• Offer strategic, pragmatic, and trusted legal guidance to management.
• Interpret laws and regulations and advise on changes affecting the Bank.
• Monitor emerging regulatory developments that may impact Regions.
• Draft and review policies, procedures, and vendor contracts as needed.
• Assess legal risk in business decisions with attention to reputational impact.
