Job summary

Magnifi Financial is seeking a Branch Banking Consultant to assist members in person, by phone, and through digital channels. You will educate, recommend, and sell banking products and services while processing transactions with accuracy and courtesy.

You will maintain cash drawers, ATM operations, and support digital banking features such as mobile deposits, card activations, and transfers. Prior retail or financial experience is valued; notary is optional.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; two-year degree preferred.
  • 6 months experience in a financial institution.
  • Customer service and/or sales experience required.
  • Notary Public designation is optional.

Responsibilities

  • Assist members with all transactions.
  • Create a remarkable member experience by responding and providing resolutions to member requests.
  • Consult with members to identify and recommend Magnifi Financial products and services.
  • Maintain cash drawer, cash recycler and ATM operations.
  • Process banking transactions including mobile deposit, digital banking activations, transfers, and card services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve member issues.
  • Initiate wires within approval limits.
  • Process new account applications for basic consumer accounts.
  • Promote digital banking adoption to members.
  • Support branch opening/closing duties as needed.
  • Contribute to branch success and community relations.

Job description

Responsible for consulting with Magnifi Financial members in person, on the phone and through digital channels. Educates, recommends, and sells products and services to members, including digital solutions. Performs member transactions in a timely, accurate and courteous manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists members with all transactions.
  • Creates a remarkable member experience by responding and providing resolutions to member requests with expertise.
  • Consults with members to identify and recommend Magnifi Financial products and services based on financial need. Makes referrals to appropriate departments.
  • Responsible for maintaining cash drawer, cash recycler and the day-to-day operation of ATM machines (deposit and restocking of ATM).
  • Performs a wide range of account services including, but not limited to setting up mobile deposit, mobile banking and digital banking, credit and debit card activation, debit card inquiries, transfers, funding loans, handling debit card inquiries, address changes, stop payments, transfers, check orders, etc.
  • Troubleshoots and helps solve member issues.
  • Initiates wires within approval limits.
  • Processes new account applications for basic consumer accounts.
  • Transforms the way banking is done by encouraging and coaching members to adopt new digital solutions (mobile banking, digital banking, ATM's).
  • May perform opening and/or closing duties for the branch.
  • Any additional projects or duties as assigned.
  • Contributes to the overall success of the branch.
  • Contributes to the mission and visibility of Magnifi Financial by actively participating in community relations efforts.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma required; two-year degree preferred
  • 6 months experience in a financial institution required (for Level II designation/pay range)
  • Customer service and/or sales experience required
  • Notary Public designation in this position is optional

Pay Transparency

Salaries vary based on factors such as location, internal equity, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role.

Total compensation package varies based on position and may include bonuses, performance-based incentives, commission, and/or discretionary bonuses.

  • Level I Banking Consultant (some previous related sales and/or customer service experience): $17.80 - $26.70/hour
  • Level II Banking Consultant (6+ months of banking and/or credit union experience): $19.28 - $28.92/hour
