Job summary

The Department of Business Regulation in Rhode Island seeks a Bank Examiner to assist in fiscal examinations of state-chartered financial institutions and related entities. Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year college with a major in accounting.
• Experience or familiarity with examinations of fiscal records of financial institutions.
• Knowledge of state and federal banking laws.
• Ability to prepare reports related to banking examinations.

Responsibilities

• Assist a senior examiner by performing routine fiscal examination tasks.
• Count cash, verify accounts, and examine collateral and records for conformity with laws.
• Assist in calculating earnings and expenditures and in preparing examination reports.
• Receive and review complaints related to state-chartered financial institutions.
