Job summary

Home Bank in Slidell, LA is seeking a Universal Banker II to deliver complete, efficient customer service while performing routine branch operations. You will assist with opening deposits, teller duties, and maintain funds with accuracy.

You will engage customers to understand financial needs, promote bank products, and help achieve branch referral goals. A high school diploma and cash handling experience are required, with banking experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• 1 year of general cash handling, sales & customer service experience.
• 1 year of banking experience strongly encouraged.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work Saturdays (based on market and location) and travel may be required.
• Knowledge of branch, vault, and ATM operations.

Responsibilities

• Handle lobby, drive-thru, night deposit, or bank-by-mail transactions accurately.
• Cash handling including counting, verifying, and packaging coins/currency.
• Assist with vault duties and operate as vault custodian as needed.
• Process daily teller work and balance debits/credits.
• Provide prompt, comprehensive customer service and build relationships.
• Meet branch and line-of-business referral goals.
• Maintain knowledge of deposit and lending products and enroll customers in services.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidential information.
