Our local community bank, founded in 1875, is looking for a banking center manager to lead business development, sales, and operations. The role focuses on customer growth, team performance, and risk compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct activities of banking center staff to ensure performance meets or exceeds goals in service, sales, financial, and operations.
• Lead service and sales management, implementing programs to promote customer retention, expansion, and acquisition.
• Manage, develop, coach, and motivate staff; hold them accountable for results.
• Participate in business development for consumer and small business customers, building trusted relationships.
• Recruit, develop, engage, and manage staff performance, including hiring, training, and disciplinary actions.
• Assess local market conditions, identify current and prospective sales opportunities.
• Evaluate loan applications and manage credit, real estate, consumer, and commercial loan processes in accordance with institution policies.
• Oversee risk and compliance, including audit results and the bank’s CRA policy.
• Manage day‑to‑day facility operations and supervise 3‑10 subordinate staff.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university; or five years or more related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

• Language: Ability to read, write, and interpret documents; speak effectively before groups.
• Mathematical: Calculate figures, discounts, interest, percentages, and apply basic algebra and geometry.
• Reasoning: Solve practical problems; interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.
• Computer: Knowledge of accounting software, contact management systems, database software, internet, spreadsheet, and word processing tools.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
• Occasional use of hands/arms; lift or move up to 25 pounds.
• Requires close vision.
