Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is currently hiring an Associate Attorney with 2 to 6 years of experience to join its Banking & Finance practice group. This role involves advising lenders and borrowers on a broad spectrum of financing transactions, including private credit deals, syndicated loans, and growth capital investments, across both domestic and international markets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong transactional background, a client-first mindset, and thrive in a collaborative legal environment.

Location:

Chicago, IL

Duties:

Represent clients in a variety of debt finance transactions

Draft, review, and negotiate credit agreements and other lending documents

Advise on private credit facilities, syndicated loans, and growth capital financings

Coordinate with teams across offices and practice areas on complex deals

Deliver responsive, business-oriented legal solutions to clients

Contribute to an inclusive, high-performing team culture

Requirements:

2 to 6 years of experience in banking and finance at a law firm

Proven ability to manage and support sophisticated finance transactions

Strong work ethic and commitment to top-tier client service

Member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar

Must meet local licensing requirements for the office location

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

For California roles: Admission or eligibility upon completion of the California Bar Exam
