CIBM Bank is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our team at our Indianapolis location as a Bank Teller! If you have a background in customer service, cash handling, or upselling, this might be the position for you! No prior banking experience is necessary – we'll provide all the training you need to succeed.
Opportunity Description
- Schedule: This position typically offers 26 hours per week. Regular business hours are Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- No Banking Experience Required: We believe in training our team for success, so prior banking experience isn't necessary. We offer comprehensive training to ensure you're confident and knowledgeable in your role.
- Customer-Focused: Use your passion for helping people to provide exceptional service, while promoting bank products and services to meet customer needs.
- Compensation: The budgeted wage for this position is $16-$18/hr.
Key Responsibilities
As a Bank Teller, you'll play a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service by accurately processing transactions and ensuring a seamless experience for our customers. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing Transactions: Accurately handle cash, deposits, and withdrawals while adhering to bank policies and procedures.
- Promoting Bank Services: Recognize opportunities to refer customers to additional bank services such as Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, and more.
- Assisting Customers: Bank Tellers address inquiries, resolve issues, and support customers with their accounts, ensuring a positive banking experience.
- Contributing to Sales Goals: Participate in sales campaigns and educate customers on the benefits of various bank products and services.
- Administrative Support: Assist with account maintenance and provide support to other team members as needed.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure strict adherence to bank policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- While no prior banking experience is necessary, we prefer candidates with 1+ years of experience in customer service or related fields. Experience in cash handling, or upselling is a plus.
- Comfortable using standard office software and systems.
- Our Bank Tellers work in a professional office setting and will be required to use common office equipment like computers, phones, and security systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when necessary.
