Job summary

NewFirst Bank in Texas is seeking a friendly and reliable teller to assist customers with transactions, answer product questions, and support branch operations under supervision. You will perform all paying and receiving teller functions, balance cash, handle night deposits, and help grow relationships by cross-selling bank services in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires a high school diploma, cash handling experience, and teller training; strong communication and teamwork are essential

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
6 months to 1 year heavy cash handling experience preferred.
Completion of teller training program.
Be familiar with bank products and services.
Previous sales or retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist Personal Bankers and Head Teller in soliciting new loan and deposit accounts/relationships.
Meet monthly referral (production) goals.
Perform all paying and receiving teller functions.
Open night deposit vaults daily.
Receive and process all night deposit bags.
Provide backup for Personal Bankers when they are busy or out of the bank.
Solicit new business and service existing loans/deposits.
Answer customer inquiries and process loan payments.
