First Citizens Bank is seeking a Sales Support Specialist (Business/Commercial Lending Assistant) in Westminster, CO. The role partners with Commercial and Business Banking groups to support sales, servicing and management of loan portfolios.

The position requires strong relationship-building, accuracy in loan documentation, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. A background in commercial lending or banking operations is preferred and the base hourly pay ranges from $27.04 to $41.00.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree OR 4 years' experience in sales, customer service, operations, or commercial lending.
• Experience in commercial loan documentation and lending support.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other office systems.
• Prior work experience in a business/commercial/corporate banking environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing Sales Support: Provide ongoing sales support to Lenders including identifying cross-sell opportunities, coordinating materials for presentations, setting up sales calls, maintaining prospect lists, and making joint calls as required.
• Documentation Support and Accuracy: Originates, processes and ensures accuracy of loan documentation for closings, inputs financial information into the loan system, and ensures all documents are included in the loan package.
• Ongoing Credit Servicing Support and Accuracy: Resolve documentation exception issues, maintain service levels, update financial statements, and prepare files for portfolio reviews.
• Monitoring of Past Due Credits: Communicate, report and follow up on portfolio past dues to keep accounts current and maintain customer contact.
• Ongoing Customer Service/Office Support: Coordinate opening of deposit and other banking services with branch partners; handle customer requests for information and problem resolution.

This role is an integral part of our team, partnering with Commercial and/or Business Banking groups in the sales, servicing and management of clients and loan portfolios.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Ongoing Sales Support: Provide ongoing sales support to Lenders which includes identifying sales and cross sell opportunities, coordinating materials for presentations, setting up sales calls as needed, maintaining prospect lists and making joint calls as required.
• Documentation Support and Accuracy: Originates, processes and ensures accuracy of loan documentation for closings. This includes entering financial information into the loan system and ensuring that all necessary documentation is included in the loan package prior to closing.
• Ongoing Credit Servicing Support and Accuracy: Resolving documentation exception issues, maintaining service levels, updating financial statements and preparing files for all portfolio reviews. Run reports to track maturing lines/loans and service levels.
• Monitoring of Past Due Credits: Communicate, report and follow up on portfolio past dues to ensure they remain current, while maintaining customer contact.
• Ongoing Customer Service/Office Support: Coordinates opening of deposit and other banking services with branch partners. Handles customer requests for information and problem resolution.

Additional Information

• Bachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years' experience in sales, customer service or operations or commercial lending

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in commercial loan documentation, commercial lending support
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other office support systems and programs.
• Experience in paralegal support.
• Prior work experience: experience within a business/commercial/corporate banking environment is strongly preferred.

The base pay for this position is generally between $27.04 to $41.00 per hour. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
