Job summary

Cass Commercial Bank, a Cass Information Systems subsidiary, is seeking a Bank Operations & Finance Assistant to provide cross-functional support across Operations and Finance. You will step in during staff absences or peak periods to maintain deposit operations, item processing, and electronic services.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least two years in banking, with strong organizational skills and proficiency in Excel, and comfortable adapting to changing regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years banking experience, including deposit operations.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to cross-functional roles in Operations and Finance.

Responsibilities

• Supports liquidity and portfolio management during absences or peak workload.
• Performs deposit operations during high-volume times or staff gaps.
• Assists with electronic services operations during peaks.
• Follows all company policies and updates processes as needed.
• Provides coverage for item processing, Positive Pay, Direct Link Merchant services, check returns, ACH, and more.
• Supports Finance and Accounting Generalist with routine tasks.
• Updates policies and procedures to reflect changes.
• Participates in disaster recovery testing when required.
• Assists with invoice processing related to account analysis and FIS review.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
