Job Title: Locum Paediatric Mainstream Speech and Language Therapist

Banding: 5/6/7

Location: Essex

Start: ASAP

Duration: 3 months

Rate: £18–£34

Working hours: Monday – Friday

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Locum Paediatric Mainstream Speech and Language Therapist to join our client based in Essex. This role involves managing your own caseload and working full-time across the borough in mainstream schools. If you are passionate about supporting children’s communication development and are available to start immediately, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapy for children in mainstream schools to enhance their communication skills.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
  • Conducting regular interventions and reviewing progress.
  • Managing your own caseload while working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Providing training and support to school staff and families.
  • Traveling across various schools in the borough to deliver services.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC.
  • Experience working with children in mainstream school settings.
  • Knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based therapy approaches.
  • Assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in training and supporting school staff and families.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.
  • Willingness to travel within the borough.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
