Job summary

McCracken County High School in Paducah, Kentucky is seeking a Club Sponsor/Coach to lead after-school programs and sponsor in various activities. You will organize practices, teach fundamentals, ensure eligibility and safety, and serve as a positive role model for students.

Open to individuals who can promote programs within school and community, plan activities, supervise meetings, and adhere to district policies; criminal records check, CPR/First Aid certification required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or a minimum of 64 semester hours from an accredited college or university.
• Criminal records check required, current First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote extra-curricular programs in the schools and community.
• Plan the assigned extra-curricular program.
• Organize and supervise practices and meetings.
• Teach individual fundamental skills of the extra-curricular activity.
• Check eligibility of participants, including insurance coverage and parent consent.
• Provide students a proper role model, emotional support, patience, a friendly attitude and general guidance.
• Recommend the purchase of equipment and supplies as appropriate for the health, safety, and welfare of participants.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics
• Follow all McCracken County Public Schools Policies and Procedures.
