The successful candidate will register with HCPC, have relevant SLT qualifications, and bring experience delivering evidence-based therapy, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supervising students and assistants. Qualifications

• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Experience working with adults within Speech and Language Therapy.
• Experience managing a specialist caseload independently.
• Experience assessing and managing communication disorders and dysphagia.
• Ability to develop and deliver evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation programmes.
• Commitment to delivering person-centred and clinically effective care.

Responsibilities

• Manage a specialist caseload of adults with communication and swallowing difficulties.
• Undertake comprehensive Speech and Language Therapy assessments across acute and community settings.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat adults with communication disorders.
• Conduct specialist dysphagia assessments and develop management plans.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment programmes.
• Deliver targeted communication and swallowing interventions.
• Provide training to healthcare professionals, carers, patients, and external agencies.
• Supervise and support SLT students and therapy assistants.
• Produce detailed clinical reports and maintain timely records.
• Participate in audits and service development initiatives.
