Job description

JOB INFORMATION:

HeyTutor has partnered with a school district in Baltimore and we're looking to hire a Bilingual (Spanish) English & Math tutor who can assist Elementary School students during after school hours. You will be working with students of all ages between 3-5th grade.

You'll be actively supervising students as you help them catch up from learning gaps developed over the past school year.

You must be comfortable passing an IN-PERSON background check.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Working with groups of students (without the support of a teacher or school site staff);
2. Prepare area to start tutoring session;
3. May be responsible for picking up and dropping off students from designated areas in school site;
4. Take attendance and run lessons through HeyTutor Dashboard (if applicable);
5. Document student progress with HeyTutor Dashboard;
6. When requested by manager, facilitate students taking and completing baseline and summative assessments;
7. Leading a group of students in the tutoring session, using curriculum and materials provided by the program;
8. Creating an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging that kids want to be in;
9. Supporting students in making positive behavior choices;
10. Engage and interact with tutoring lessons alongside the students;
11. Daily clocking in and out of Deputy for shifts;
12. Any other duties that may be required by the Company, your manager and/or the School Site.

SCHEDULE:

Monday-Friday: 4 hours per day.

1 Tutor needed during after school hours (M/W/F: 10AM - 2PM, T/TH: 1:15PM - 5:15pm)

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must have completed an AA or higher, or be currently enrolled in college.
2. Tutoring experience (great at working with kids)
3. Must be comfortable tutoring Elementary School Math & ELA.
4. Comfortable working in a classroom setting.
5. Clear FBI-DOJ background check (provided through us).

PAY:

Pay depends on a combination of education and experience and will be determined at the time of the interview.
