Job summary

Tooele County School District is seeking a seasonally employed coach to instruct student athletes in fundamental sport skills and to develop drills and game plans. The role focuses on personal development, teamwork, and maintaining a positive image for the school and team.

The coach will oversee trips and competitions, assist with hiring and guiding assistant coaches, and ensure adherence to the district budget. Collaboration with the marching band director is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Familiar with the rules and regulations of the sport/activity.
• Experience as an athlete and/or coach.
• Work closely with program assistant coach(es).
• Ability to motivate, teach, and lead.
• Be energetic, responsible, dependable, self motivated and punctual.
• Have excellent public relation skills and work effectively with staff, parents and administration.
• Experience working with teens and willingness to supervise on trips, camps and competitions.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students in the fundamental skills of the sport/activity, develops drill and practice activities, and teaches game rules.
• Motivates students to excel academically and athletically, emphasizing teamwork and providing guidance for each student athlete.
• Oversees trips and competition events and maintains equipment.
• Collaborates with the marching band director and adheres to the district budget.
