Job summary

Nebo School District in Utah County is seeking a Ballroom Dance Advisor to design and supervise the district’s secondary school activity program for dance. The role requires strong supervisory skills and ability to work with students during practices, competitions, and events.

This position is paid by stipend and requires at least a high school diploma; experience in dance activities is preferred, and applicants must pass fingerprint/background checks and meet age requirements.

Qualifications

• Skills required to perform multiple technical tasks and upgrade as needed.
• Knowledge of safety, laws, and regulations relevant to school activities.
• Ability to coordinate activities with schools, districts, and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes opposition strategies for events to develop activity plans.
• Assesses and provides feedback on student performance and placement.
• Conducts parent orientations, recognition events, and related activities.
• Develops strategies and plans for team preparation and competition.
• Develops practice regimens to improve performance.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to other advisors.
