Job summary

Nebo School District in Utah County is seeking an Assistant Boys Tennis Coach to support high school and junior high programs. The role requires a high school diploma, coaching experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and a background clearance. The position is stipend-based and may include evenings and weekends, with supervision by the Head Coach.

The coach will develop game plans, monitor student-athlete performance, maintain records, and promote teamwork and sportsmanship within the program.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching or athletics is required.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes opposition strategies for game planning and performance.
• Assesses student-athletes for placement and feedback.
• Attends meetings and workshops for information sharing.
• Develops components of game strategies as requested by Head Coach.
• Evaluates facilities for safety and equipment needs.
• Instructs student-athletes to promote growth and sportsmanship.
• Maintains records for district and state requirements.
• Monitors academic eligibility and provides interventions as needed.
• Promotes athletic programs to boost participation.
• Supervises student-athletes during all participation activities.
• Performs other duties to ensure efficient operation.
• Supports other athletic staff in their roles.
