Job summary

Responsibilities include NESS and IBIS data entry, ATF e-Trace reviews, and potential IBIS training. Local travel may be required, with adherence to safety and regulatory procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combined education/experience considered
• Ability to apply judgment in selecting procedures and in interpreting data
• Must be able to complete ATF clearance process and pass competency testing

Responsibilities

• Utilize NESS for daily entry of local RMS event information associated with ballistic evidence
• Enter data into charts, spreadsheets, reports, and systems
• Produce basic analytical products and summaries
• Enter or review firearms trace information for ATF e-Trace
• Provide NESS account support and user management
• Triaging cartridge casings for IBIS entry
• Enter evidence into IBIS and perform image/correlation reviews
• Provide IBIS training if approved as NAT
• Handle, operate, and test firearms per safety procedures while trained
