Job summary

Iowatravelindustry is seeking a Ballfield Groundskeeper to maintain the original baseball field, movie site, and tourney area grounds. The role reports to the FODMS Site Manager and requires knowledge of equipment, tools, safety and procedures for field maintenance.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED and 1-3 years related experience, with the ability to read safety rules, write routine reports, and communicate effectively with visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate continuous professionalism and respect while working with customers, business partners and staff members.
• Perform and/or supervise all vendor work from beginning to end of project ensuring a timely and professional completion of job.
• Use appropriate equipment in maintaining baseball field grounds beautiful, professional looking and easily accessible to visitors and staff.
• Oversee all vendor contracts for grounds work.
• Stay current with changing soil and baseball turf technology.
• Uphold, support and promote all company policies and procedures.
• Irrigation system oversight with facilities site administrator.
• Testing/adjusting timing.
