Job summary

Tutu School East Amherst is seeking a warm, engaging Ballet Teacher to lead 45-minute classes using our curriculum for young dancers. You will support families, assist with retail sales, and help maintain a tidy, welcoming studio.

Ideal candidates have ballet experience and teaching potential; high school or equivalent is preferred. You will report to the Studio Director and collaborate with the team to meet studio goals and client needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in dancing with a ballet background is strongly preferred.
• Teaching experience is preferred
• High school or equivalent is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead 45-minute classes following Tutu School’s carefully crafted Class Curriculum.
• Take attendance and answer questions about class membership and promotions.
• Build rapport and communication with students’ families and prospective clients.
• Perform basic retail duties including product restocking and processing sales using a point-of-sale system.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the studio, lobby, retail display, and bathroom.
• Communicate effectively with management and administration. Use Slack for communication with managers and teachers.
• Create a safe space for all students and their families.
• Participate in teacher meetings and training.
• Meet specific metrics including: Trial Class: Minimum of 50% conversion rate; Brave Bash: Minimum of 50% participation rate; Participating in marketing events and promotions; Discussing studio offerings such as, camp, birthday parties, etc.

We are Tutu Collective Inc., a proud multi‑unit franchisee of Tutu School. We currently operate 11 Tutu School locations across California, New York and Connecticut. We are hiring for a Ballet Teacher for the East Amherst location. This position will report directly to the Studio Director.
