Job summary

The Tutu School Belmont is seeking a warm Ballet Teacher to lead 45-minute classes using our curriculum in the Bay Area. You will teach young dancers, support families, assist with retail sales, and help keep the studio clean and welcoming.

Ideal candidates have ballet experience and teaching background, with a high school diploma or equivalent. This role reports to the Regional Director and pays $20–$28 per hour with 401(k) matching and opportunities for training and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead 45-minute classes following the curriculum.
• Take attendance and answer questions about class membership.
• Build rapport with families and prospective clients.
• Perform basic retail duties including restocking and processing sales.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the studio, lobby, and retail display.
• Communicate effectively with management via Slack.
• Create a safe space for all students and families.
• Participate in teacher meetings and training.
• Meet metrics such as Trial Class conversion and Brave Bash participation.
• Participate in marketing events and promotions.
• Discuss studio offerings such as camps and parties.

Founded in 2008, Tutu School is a quaint and whimsical collection of boutique ballet schools designed to foster creativity and joy while encouraging tiny dancers to fully exercise their imagination as well as bodies. With over 100 locations across the U.S. and Canada, Tutu School provides an imaginative curriculum that celebrates the magic of childhood and builds confidence through movement.

We are Tutu Collective Inc., a proud multi‑unit franchisee of Tutu School. We currently operate 11 Tutu School locations across California, New York and Connecticut. We are hiring for a Ballet Teacher for The Bay Area. This position will report directly to the Regional Director and Principal Teacher.

Job Summary

Seeking a warm, engaging Ballet Teacher to lead 45‑minute classes using Tutu School’s curriculum. Responsibilities include teaching young dancers, supporting families, assisting with retail sales, maintaining studio cleanliness, and communicating with the team. Ideal for those passionate about early childhood dance education.

Responsibilities

• Lead 45‑minute classes following Tutu School’s carefully crafted Class Curriculum.
• Take attendance and answer questions about class membership and promotions.
• Build rapport and communication with students’ families and prospective clients.
• Perform basic retail duties including product restocking and processing sales using a point‑of‑sale system.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the studio, lobby, retail display, and bathroom.
• Communicate effectively with management and administration. Use Slack for communication with managers and teachers.
• Create a safe space for all students and their families.
• Participate in teacher meetings and training.
• Meet specific metrics including: Trial Class: Minimum of 50% conversion rate; Brave Bash: Minimum of 50% participation rate.
• Participate in marketing events and promotions.
• Discuss studio offerings such as camp, birthday parties, etc.

Qualifications

• Experience in dancing with a ballet background is strongly preferred.
• Teaching experience is preferred.
• High school or equivalent is preferred.
