Qualifications

• Experience teaching Ballet Folklórico and planning curriculum for children and adults.
• Knowledge of traditional Mexican regional dances and their cultural significance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach Ballet Folklórico classes to participants of various ages and skill levels.
• Instruct students in regional dances, choreography, footwork, posture, and performance techniques.
• Incorporate history and cultural significance of dances, music, costumes, and traditions into lessons.
• Create organized, engaging lesson plans suitable for developmental levels.
• Supervise classes safely in compliance with park district policies and safety rules.
• Prepare students for showcases and community events.
• Set up and clean instructional space before and after each class.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor attendance and communicate progress with supervisors and families.
