Job summary

Macy's is seeking a Warehouse Associate to help keep our distribution centers clean and efficient. You will inspect, sort and bale recyclable cardboard and plastic, maintain balers and compactors, and support dock area upkeep while performing general housekeeping and equipment maintenance.

A High School diploma and good reading/writing skills are expected; strong communication and teamwork are essential as you work with a diverse team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 sentence about reading/writing and safety rules in English.
• Strong verbal and written communication to interface with colleagues.
• Ability to understand and communicate with customers, coworkers and supervisors.
• Basic math and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, sort and bale all waste cardboard and plastic.
• Maintain balers and compactors clear of trash buildup.
• Maintain the dock area surrounding baler.
• General housekeeping duties.
• Daily operation and maintenance/ cleaning of the sweeper.
• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect with colleagues and customers.
