Baler Material Handler | Now Hiring | Kinston, NC

Compensation Includes:

  • Starting Pay Rate of $21.00 - 24.82/hour depending on experience - paid weekly

Available Shift:

  • 1st: 8:00am - 4:00pm
  • 3rd: 12:00pm - 8:00am

The Baler Material Handler is responsible for handling, organizing, and transporting materials within the facility using forklifts and other material handling equipment. This role ensures the efficient movement of materials, maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas, and assists in the management of recyclable materials.

Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move WIP, raw materials, finished goods, and recyclable materials
  • Supply empty pallets, stage corrugate and manage roll storage for production areas
  • Perform daily forklift inspections and complete the weekly checklist
  • Load and unload trailers, verifying receipts, load sheets, and other necessary paperwork
  • Inspect outgoing loads to ensure proper wrapping, labeling, and pallet condition
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records using SAP and RF scanners
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including sweeping, dusting, and trash removal
  • Assist in baling scrap materials, tagging loads, and preparing them for shipment
  • Perform duties assigned to support shipping, receiving, and production areas
  • Maintain compliance with safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training for authorized personnel
Qualifications
  • Forklift certification required, including successful completion of medical assessment and training
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and lift to 50 lbs
  • Functional English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Basic math skills for counting, addition, and subtraction
  • Experience with SAP, RF scanners, and Microsoft Office preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team
