Job summary

DC Dog Sitter is looking for a Balanced Dog Trainer & Certified Pet Professional in the Washington DC Metro area. You will conduct training sessions, evaluate dogs’ temperaments, and develop training plans.

The ideal candidate should have a degree, be certified if possible, and possess strong problem-solving and communication skills. This role offers part-time to full-time hours with flexibility based on training schedules, and is ideal for dog lovers committed to enhancing pet lives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• Certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) is advantageous.
• One to three years of experience in the pet professional field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one and group training sessions with clients’ dogs.
• Evaluate dispositions and temperaments of dogs.
• Develop and document suitable training plans.
