Job Summary

The Adventure Guide delivers effective dog walks, adventures, and ensures pets receive loving care. Responsibilities include maintaining a timely schedule, meeting defined goals, complying with DCDS policies, supporting the team, and fostering positive interactions with animals.

Schedule

Part‑time: Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 21 years old or older.
• 1‑3 years of experience in pet care.
• License/Certification (specified) or ability to complete our paid Certification Program.
• Pass CPR and first aid certification classes (provided).
• Maintain ongoing CEU’s.
• Available during core hours and occasional holidays or weekends.
• Reliable transportation and insurance (vehicle required).
• Excellent communication skills with clear, timely written responses.
• Passion for dogs and cats.
• Commitment to animal care as a serious responsibility.
• Experience handling a variety of dog breeds, sizes, and feline friends.
• Strong references.
• Ability to follow instructions and meet a demanding schedule.
• Physical ability to walk dogs and engage in play.
• Own mobile phone capable of texting, emailing, and sending photos.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Live in or willing to commute to the service area.
