Job summary

Eightelevengroup seeks a General Accounting Analyst to support balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting on a long-term contract in Chesterfield, MO or Birmingham, AL. This onsite role requires detail-oriented analysis and collaboration across teams to resolve outstanding items and support audits.

You will research discrepancies, perform reconciliations in Excel and SAP, and help identify process improvements.

Qualifications

2+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with SAP (nice to have).
Ability to learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

Research and resolve outstanding reconciling items impacting balance sheet accounts.
Investigate discrepancies and aged items to determine root causes and corrective actions.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
Collaborate with accounting, finance, operational, and business teams to obtain information and resolve issues.
Track remediation efforts for unresolved accounting items.
Prepare documentation supporting resolutions and audits.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
Support audit requests and internal control activities.
Utilize Excel and SAP to analyze large datasets and perform reconciliations.
