Job summary

The Bakeshop – Kitchen Kettle Village in Intercourse, PA is seeking a Part-time Bakeshop Retail Team Member. You will assist with cookie counter sales, stock, and customer service for bakery products, while keeping displays fresh and organized.

Daytime weekday availability is required, March through December, with at least two Saturdays per month. Offering a friendly, family-owned environment, the role includes a 13–15 USD hourly rate based on experience and availability, with opportunities for

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding guest service by greeting every guest and maintaining product knowledge.
• Assist with retail bakery operations through counter sales and floor/stock duties.
• Open/close cookie counter and floor stock areas as needed.
• Ensure baked goods are dated, labeled, rotated, and within shelf life.
• Monitor inventory levels and help maintain displays to minimize waste.
• Assist with mail orders and large special orders as required.
• Maintain a clean bakery area and rotate stock between freezers.
• Record temperatures for freezers/coolers and log inventory data.
• Prepare bakery orders to ensure full displays.
• Accurately total purchases and handle payments.

What You’ll Do

• Provide outstanding guest service by greeting and acknowledging every guest, smiling, and maintaining strong product knowledge and service standards.
• Assist with retail bakery operations through cookie counter sales and floor and stock positions.
• Open and/or close the Cookie Counter and Floor & Stock areas as needed.
• Monitor and ensure all baked goods are properly dated, labeled, rotated, and not held or sold past the agreed-upon shelf life.
• Help monitor inventory levels of baked goods and samples to keep displays full and minimize waste.
• Assist in fulfilling mail orders and large special orders as required.
• Help maintain a clean and organized baking area and rotate stock between freezers.
• Check and record temperatures for freezers, coolers, and reach-ins at designated times and record required inventory management data.
• Help create and submit bakery orders to ensure full displays.
• Accurately total purchases, handle all forms of payment, make correct change, and wrap or bag guest purchases effectively.
