Job summary

Target in Omaha, NE is hiring a Baker to join our Food & Beverage team. You will help guests with friendly service, prepare bakery items to spec, and ensure products are fresh, properly labeled and stocked during all shifts.

This role requires a physical, fast-paced environment, flexible scheduling (nights/weekends/holidays), and a welcoming demeanor. Prior baking experience is appreciated but not required; training provided to learn Target standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous baking experience preferred, but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other equipment.
• Work independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Capable of working in fast-paced environments and handle multiple tasks within timeframes.
• Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience.
• Greet guests and assist them in finding items or resolving issues.
• Assist peers and support team in other areas.
• Maintain safety and food safety standards.
• Prepare, label and package bakery items to specifications.
• Operate cash registers and assist with checkout when needed.
• Handle perishable inventory and ensure products are stocked and signed.
