Job summary

Sam’s West, Inc. is seeking a Bakery/Packager Team Member to help prepare fresh bakery items daily, follow recipes, and wrap, label, and store merchandise for members.

The role emphasizes fast-paced service, accuracy, and friendly, helpful interactions to ensure members receive the freshest products. You'll collaborate with a large bakery team, operate baking equipment, and utilize handheld tools to support production and inventory needs, while maintaining sanitation and food-safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member: Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team, communicates with team members, and stays flexible to support the business.
• Be an Expert: Prepares bakery department merchandise according to daily production needs, follows recipes/instructions, wraps, labels, and stores merchandise per policies and food-safety standards.
• Be a Techie: Uses handheld technology to drive sales and improve the shopping experience, assisting with production decisions and training.
• Be an Owner: Maintains work area, ensures quality and date control of bakery items, protects fragile and high-shrink items, and minimizes waste.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocates for the department and club, demonstrates high-quality service and products, and collaborates with stakeholders to improve processes.
