Job summary

The GIANT Company in Hummelstown, PA is hiring for a store position in our bakery and deli. You will start each shift by reviewing the schedule, checking equipment, and ensuring PPE compliance to prepare for duties.

You will assist with ordering, stocking, baking, labeling, and keeping display cases clean, while following safety rules and company standards to serve customers and support the store team. This role requires 18+ and the ability to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have valid identification.
• Must read, write, and communicate to complete job duties and follow safety rules.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must complete 60-day probationary period.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements for the role.
• Must be able to use the equipment and tools needed for this job.
• Must perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet performance standards including regular attendance.
• Must wear proper clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training preferred.
• Must complete forklift-training program.

Responsibilities

• Review schedule at shift start, check equipment and PPE, and prepare for duties.
• Enter orders, schedule work, train staff, receive, store, stock items, and manage pricing.
• Assemble and bake goods, stack trays, and bake in ovens.
• Wrap, label, and display baked goods, and keep display cases clean and stocked.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces, tools, equipment, displays, floors, and counters.
