Job summary

Market 32/Price Chopper is seeking a dependable Bakery Associate to support day-to-day bakery operations in-store. You will assist with product preparation, baking and presentation, ensuring high quality and availability while maintaining 5S standards.

You will help manage the department when the Bakery Manager is away, provide excellent customer service, and train junior staff to uphold company performance standards. Prior experience and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6-12 months of related experience.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bakery operations within the retail store environment, including product preparation, baking, merchandising and final presentation of all bakery products.
• Oversee department operations in the absence of the Bakery Manager.
• Maintain an adequate presentation and the appropriate product variety to meet customer needs.
• Comply with all corporate and state sanitation regulations while maintaining a neat and clean workstation.
• Manage and fulfill all customer special orders accurately and timely.
• Assist with the training and development of bakery associates to support corporate performance standards.
