Description

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

The Bakery Team Lead is responsible for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely and safe manner. The individual must be self-sufficient in all bakery processes and oversee the efficient operation of bakery lines.

The Bakery Team Lead understands the flow of daily bakery operations, maintains consistent communication, and ensures accurate documentation. They provide training to new and existing employees, collaborate with the production supervisor, and make key decisions with minimal supervision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL DUTIES):

1. Support the production supervisor.
2. Verify completion and accuracy of all line documentation and ensure employees are properly trained and monitored.
3. Develop strategies to meet daily production commitments, requiring critical thinking.
4. Provide daily direction to team members based on information and goals.
5. Address operational issues promptly and communicate results to the supervisor.
6. Maintain open communication with management to ensure schedule feasibility and support other line leads.
7. Ensure clear communication across shifts and departments regarding unresolved issues or safety concerns.
8. Verify correct ingredients and materials are used according to the schedule, and labels and print information are accurate.
9. Perform minor housekeeping duties on lines, including cleaning and waste disposal.
10. Communicate advanced housekeeping needs to supervisors and sanitation department.
11. Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, results orientation, communication, time management, and coachability.

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

• Hands-on leadership with problem-solving skills and the ability to develop teams.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Mechanical aptitude for minor equipment maintenance.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and reporting tools is a plus.
• Computer literacy, including Excel and Outlook.
