Description

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

The Bakery Team Lead is responsible for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely and safe manner. The lead must be self-sufficient in all bakery processes and oversee the efficient operation of bakery lines.

The role requires understanding daily bakery operations, maintaining effective communication, and ensuring accurate documentation. The employee will provide training, work closely with the production supervisor, and make key decisions with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties)

1. Support the production supervisor.
2. Verify completion and accuracy of all line documentation and train employees accordingly.
3. Develop strategies to meet daily production goals requiring critical thinking.
4. Provide daily direction to team members based on production goals.
5. Address operational issues promptly and communicate results to the supervisor.
6. Maintain open communication with management to ensure schedules are achievable.
7. Ensure proper use of ingredients and correct documentation on the floor.
8. Responsible for minor housekeeping of all lines, including cleaning and waste disposal.
9. Communicate advanced housekeeping needs to supervisors and sanitation.
10. Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, results orientation, communication proficiency, time management, and coachability.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on leader with problem-solving skills and team development ability.
• Proficiency in English, both written and oral.
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Mechanical aptitude for minor equipment maintenance.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and reporting tools is a plus.
• Computer literacy, including Excel and Outlook.
