Job summary

• Good understanding of food production and fundamental cooking techniques.
• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.

• Ability to sell proactively and convey differentiating factors about WFM products.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills and the ability to work with customers, Team Members, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Weighs, prices, and packages customer orders.
• Understands venue menus and stays abreast of specials and changes.
• Follows cash handling procedures for service venues.
• Monitors product quality and freshness; ensures proper rotation.
• Completes spoilage and transfer records as needed.
• Arrives on time and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Preps, stores, rotates, stocks, and merchandises products to maximize sales.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintains a clean and safe work/shopping environment; maintains equipment.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and checks pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
