Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Keep the bakery department well stocked and appealing to meet customer demand. Greet customers, make suggestions, answer questions about products, and resolve concerns courteously.
• Take customer orders over the phone or in person, assisting with product choices.
• Set up special-order tables, bakery cases, and displays. Write on cakes when needed.
• Ensure merchandise is fresh, properly priced, and well maintained. Handle spoiled or near-expiry products following company procedures.
• Assist with baking bread, pastries, and other goods, adhering to production logs and recipes.
• Maintain sanitation standards, follow cleaning schedules, and ensure health and OSHA compliance.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries if trained.
• Help minimize shrink and control damages, reporting shortages or overages.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth department and store operations.
• Use all provided PPE properly.
• Assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred; no prior experience required. Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily, with or without accommodations.
