Job summary

BQ US is seeking an experienced R&D Manager in Denver, CO to develop and execute Innovation & Renovation strategies for the business. You will lead projects, collaborate with sales, marketing and culinary teams, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

The role requires 5 years in food, with 3+ years in bakery R&D, and a Bachelor’s in a related field. On-site work in Denver, with leadership responsibilities and interaction with customers.

Qualifications

• 5 years in the food industry with at least 3 years R&D experience in bakery.
• Experience leading Innovation or Technical projects.
• Thorough knowledge of process, food technology and bakery formulation.
• Knowledge of bakery operations and production equipment.
• Regulatory affairs: basic knowledge of national and international food regulations.
• Quality Standards: basic knowledge of HACCP, FSSC 22000, BRC.

Responsibilities

• Implement I&R strategy for supported product categories.
• Manage I&R portfolio through stage gate with cross functional partners.
• Prioritize resources and budget for staff across streams.
• Lead end-to-end I&R projects from ideation to launch.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing to share best practices.
• Partner with stakeholders to promote product adoption with customers.
• Develop innovation pipeline with sales, marketing and culinary.
• Identify opportunities and drive adoption of innovations with business case.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and ensure compliance with standards.
