Job summary

Flowers Foods is seeking a production technician to support all phases of a team-based operation. You will run automated production equipment, diagnose machinery issues, assist with preventative maintenance, and help sanitize equipment to ensure safe, high-quality output.

The role requires at least two years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a technical certification could be a plus. A strong emphasis on safety and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of related experience in a production environment.
• High School diploma or equivalency; technical certification is a plus.
• Equivalent military training or 45 college credits may substitute technical training.

Responsibilities

• Check and adhere to the production work schedule and reporting times.
• Operate facility metal detectors as assigned and stay certified.
• Perform start-up/shut-down sanitation and limited preventive maintenance.
• Keep work areas clean, organized and compliant with safety rules.
• Monitor production schedules, running order and formulas.
• Scale and stage ingredients according to standards.
• Ensure product is loaded into proper containers.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure government and company standards.
• Provide breaks for other technicians as needed on the shift.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a high-performing team.
